Raising a Muslim child in the West, you face three gaps
Time & ability
Teaching Arabic letters and surahs daily is hard when you’re busy — or unsure you’re teaching it the right way.
Trust
Most kids’ apps are either shallow entertainment, unverified, or full of ads and trackers.
Age
Almost nothing is built audio-first for a 4–6 year old who can’t read yet.
Three things, done excellently
No sprawling universe yet. One focused daily path a child can actually finish.
Letter Garden
Learn all 28 Arabic letters by sound. Tap a letter, hear it clearly from a real reciter, and play a gentle matching game. No reading required.
My First Surahs
Short surahs taught ayah-by-ayah: listen, repeat along, and see a simple picture cue. Voiced only by verified human reciters — never AI.
The Daily Loop
One gentle daily mission — today’s letter and today’s surah — with stars earned by real learning. No pressure, no guilt, no endless scroll.
Safe by design — not by promise
Built by a Muslim father. Every Islamic element is checked against trusted scholarship before it goes live.
Every screen works without reading
Big buttons, a real voice, and clear pictures guide your child. For ages 6–8, optional text appears as reinforcement — never as something they must read to move forward.
Built on research, not guesswork
Our method draws on a synthesis of peer-reviewed research on how young children actually learn to read Arabic.
Listening comes before reading
Young children learn language by ear first. Every lesson starts with a real human voice — reading is never required to begin.
The sound before the shape
Each letter is introduced by its sound first — the skill reading actually needs — then its shape, gently and in order.
Letters by frequency, not A-to-Z
Letters are taught in the order that's easiest to learn — spacing out look-alike letters instead of clustering them — following ALECSO's evidence-based recommendation.
This is an evidence-based approach we're validating with real families — not a promise of guaranteed results.
Why we exist
